Magical music machine

I'm PRETTY sure t This is an animation, but it took a couple of close looks before I was sure. Bill and I decided that the best thing about it is that it could, conceivably, be built.

That and it's super fascinating to watch, over and over. Not that I'd know anything about that.

[livejournal.com profile] cerulean_fleur pointed out to me that there are more. Here are links to the three I thought were the niftiest, after this one here, which I still think is the best of all of them.

Pogo Sticks

Gyro Drums

Pipe Dream

Aside to [livejournal.com profile] memegarden, I don't know if these have too many visual cutaways for your cutie kiddo to watch, I suspect that most of them do, but I thought of her when I was watching the Pogo Sticks.

I have their first collection on video. My favorite is one created by bouncing balls... just blows my mind. I like that the music is itself quite interesting, along with the conception and animation.

I actually find the crablike legs in that one kind of creepy, though.

I think that's the one called "pipe dream".

I thought the legs/fingers were the neatest part. Not being aware of the others, it took me a sec to twig to the fact that it was an animation and I think the plausibility of the moving parts was a portion of why.
